During a live concert in Clearwater, FL, Casey spotted the fan in the audience and proposed a "friendly wager" in the name of "dialogue and discourse."

Casey, a Pittsfield, MA native, and his band have long been critics of President Donald Trump. This time, Casey bet that the hat and shirt were not made in America. Casey vowed that if the MAGA shirt-wearing fan lost, they'd switch shirts. And if he won the wager, Casey would gift him $100 and band shirts

"You can't lose this wager," Casey said.

Casey asked the fan: "Do you support American workers?" The crowd cheered.

"Do you support American businesses?" he continued. The crowd roared again.

Then came the twist—Casey reminded the audience that Dropkick Murphys only sells merchandise made in the U.S. and proposed the bet.

And then the moment of truth—someone checked the tag on the fan’s shirt.

“It’s made in Nicaragua!” Casey screamed, as the crowd erupted.

The Dropkick Murphys have long been vocal about their support for American labor and unions, making the moment an on-brand callout for the punk rock frontman.

The fan took the moment in stride and removed his shirt.

"We're taking crime off the streets," Casey said. "God bless your f—ing heart. You get [a shirt] proudly made in America."

The full exchange was posted on Casey’s YouTube channel, where fans weighed in on the moment.

"French fan here. I just love how you treated him with respect and empathy but still made him face the absurdity of the situation," one said. "Also, we stand with the workers. Anytime, anywhere!"

"Well done, Sir. No humiliation and leaves him with some things to consider...and a new shirt."
